University of Victoria co-op students, Rohan Wink and Malcolm Black landed the ideal summer job.
Cruising across North America in the Oar Board®️Mercedes Sprinter Van stopping at busy waterfront locations demoing the Oar Board®
May and June were spent setting up doing demo displays at beaches in British Columbia Canada and Washington State USA
July, they set up shop at the Oklahoma Row Fest , a weeklong US Rowing sponsored event featuring rowers and teams competing from all across the US and Canada.
There competition racers were introduced to the Oar Board®️ and a new way to row… anywhere, anytime, in any water having fun, staying fit and having adventures.

In August, the Van Life Oar Board crew set up at the Canadian Henley, Canada’s largest rowing regatta
Followed by the Muskoka Boat Show and Orillia Water Fest
Finally back across North America and home to Victoria where Rohan is back to school at UVIC and Malcolm is off to Estonia to attend a term of university overseas.
Over the summer thousands of people, novices and experienced, young and old, were introduced to rowing the Oar Board® by the Van Life team. Part of our ongoing quest to revolutionize the sport of rowing to include everyone, anywhere.
