Since introducing the Oar Board® Rower in 2011 we found that many new owners were buying a paddleboard specifically to go with it. This inspired us to design and produce three custom SUP models that are ideal for both paddling and rowing. They feature special deck strap rings that make it even simpler and easier to install or remove an Oar Board® unit. These deck fittings eliminate the strap passing under and around the board. On the EVA deck pad there are special guides that make centering the Oar Board® easier too.
The three models are, the Fitness Row 12′,
the Adventure Row 13’4″ and the Adventure Row 16′.
Fitness Row SUP 12′ Combo Package
Specially designed for full fitness on the water the Fitness Row 12′ offers extra stability for paddlers, rowers or yoga lovers of any weight or size. Non-existent on any other SUP in the market, it features our unique, specially designed 2″ deck strap rings that make mounting or removing an Oar Board® way easier than passing the strap right around the board. This also reduces drag potential.
The Fitness ROW SUP 12′ is your personal gym whether you are into yoga, standup paddle or rowing. It makes all three activities, paddling, rowing and yoga accessible, portable, and possible. It carries up to 400 lbs on deck.
Imagine you are off exploring unknown waters, you have along your camping gear, clothes and food all packed in dry bags lashed to the foredeck. Nicely strapped on the back deck is your Oar Board® and scull blades. You are standing tall surveying the domain while paddling along. You realize there’s still a few extra miles to go so un-strap the Oar Board® unit and move it forward into the rowing position, sitting down you break out your 9’5″ scull oars and begin to seriously cover some distance. This is the world’s first sculling paddle board. Very cool!
The Adventure Row 13’4″ model is unique in the SUP world. It’s a cruiser and explorer. And it features our unique, specially designed 2″ deck strap rings that make mounting or removing an Oar Board® very fast and easy. The straps can fasten onto these rings and do not have to pass all the way around the board. It carries up to 475 lbs on deck. It’s both a sculling boat and a standup paddle board. Plus it’s an inflatable so it’s portable and tough.
It’s a mighty long paddleboard! It’s like having two or more boards in one that makes the Adventure Row 16′ so great. And it’s an inflatable so it’s lightweight, portable and tough. It carries up to 475 lbs on deck.
It also features special deck strap rings for strapping on up to two of the Oar Board® Rowers in a number of combinations. The straps fasten onto these rings and do not have to pass all the way around the board. Easier to do and a little less drag when rowing.
Couples and friends who like to paddle or row with their partner or friend can have it all with this single Adventure Row SUP. Or explore your local waters alone by paddle and oars. Flying to exotic locations to explore is also an option with this inflatable board. This model has so much potential to do different things it’s hard to imagine them all. Double paddle, single paddle, double scull or single scull, family board or expedition model it’s all do-able.
In expedition mode camping gear, clothing and supplies can be strapped to the foredeck cargo rings with your Oar Board® rower set up ready to row in the rear position and, this is the best part, you still have space on deck to stand up and paddle without changing anything.
The package includes:
Adventure Row SUP 16’.
Two Oar Board® Rower Units.
Two Pair Carbon Fiber Two Part Scull Oars.
One Carbon Fiber Paddle.
Package includes two pair of Kwik Loc Deck Straps.
It's having so many usage options possible that makes the Adventure Row 16' a great choice. It's an inflatable so it's lightweight, portable and tough. It carries up to 475 lbs on deck.
The Adventure Row 16 can be setup as a single position rowing boat as well as a double and it rows very well either way. Owners who row in rougher water, wind and waves, report that the 16’ SUP handles these conditions better than a shorter board.
Explore your local waters alone by yourself by paddle and/or oars. Flying to exotic locations to explore is also a great option with this inflatable board.
In adventure/expedition mode, camping gear, clothing and supplies can be strapped to the foredeck cargo rings with your Oar Board® rower unit set up ready to row in the rear position. You still have ample space available on deck to stand up and paddle without changing the position of the rowing unit.
We discovered these while out doing demo rows with the Oar Board®.
We immediately saw how well inflatable SUPs handle bumping up on beaches or hitting hard objects like rocks, or even being dinged by paddle blades much better than a hard board which dings and scratches very easily.
Another advantage is how small they are when deflated and rolled up inside their backpack.
Weight is about the same as an average hard board whether stowed in the pack or inflated, and the compactness allows for easy transport to your favorite vacation destination.
